Travis W. Brown is an attorney with a practice concentrating on representing businesses, energy companies, landowners, franchisors, and individuals in complex commercial disputes. His practice focuses on commercial and business litigation, energy and environmental litigation, franchise and licensing matters, receiverships, and property disputes. He has successfully represented clients in matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, shareholder disputes, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, trademark litigation, and intellectual property protection. In addition to litigation, he regularly advises businesses on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, due diligence for acquisitions, licensing agreements, and other strategic business matters. Travis has represented operators, non-operators, mineral owners, and surface owners in disputes involving oil and gas leases, joint operating agreements, royalty payments, surface damages, title issues, environmental contamination, nuisance and trespass claims, and natural gas marketing and processing agreements. He has also handled environmental litigation involving alleged injuries to persons, livestock, and property, working closely with technical experts and regulatory agencies to resolve complex scientific and environmental issues. Travis also has significant experience in court-appointed receiverships, assisting with the management, rehabilitation, and liquidation of distressed businesses and large-scale insolvency matters. Throughout his career, he has worked alongside federal and state regulatory agencies—including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security, the Oklahoma Securities Commission, the Oklahoma Attorney General's Office, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality—in matters involving business fraud, regulatory enforcement, and environmental compliance. His diverse litigation background enables him to provide practical, strategic counsel while effectively advocating for clients in both the courtroom and the boardroom.
